"We stayed for a week. Our villa was nice but a little older and a fair distance from the main lobby/restaurant. What makes this property special is the staff. Everyone from the servers to the spa staff to manager was kind and engaging. They knew us by name and treated us like family. "

"We left yesterday and I miss the place already :( The staff (front reception, kitchen, housekeeping, garden maintenance, pool guy) so very warm and friendly! The place is tranquil and relaxing with everything you need there, a quaint little coffee shop and humble laundromat are just across the street. The breakfast is 5 a la carte choices of American, continental, Indonesian, Indian and healthy hippy. My husband and I will definitely be back! Thank you so much Sankara staff for making our wedding anniversary so special We stayed in the villa with private pool, which was maintained and cleaned to perfection everyday, the fruit basket was replenished daily too. "

"I cannot say enough good things. The staff really made our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Especially Wai Yan (sp?) who made delicious happy hour drinks at the poolside bar. I feel like I made a new friend as we had several great discussions! The pool is beautiful and very quiet (we were there in low season - Feb) the breakfast was also incredible and so was room service. There was construction going on for a couple of hours every day which was very noisy at the pool. I wish I had known that but we were usually out and about and the staff apologized for it personally more than once. I understand people have to work and you can’t close down a whole hotel for a little bit of Reno. No big deal. Just ask about it if you plan to stay here in the next little while. But such good value for money, superb service and the kindest staff I have ever encountered. "
