"The service and staff were exceptionally helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and loved that it was next door to the metro station. Also located across from the Imperial Gardens. It was as such a good location and everyone was so kind. We will stay there again in the future ! Special thanks for the front desk staff man who helped us get a taxi today!!"

"'Shoes off, Yakata wearing' traditional Japanese experience! Very comfortable and warming. With tattoo restrictions on many Onsens and Sauna facilities around Japan, the private onsens here make it accessible. You can stay on the quiet side of the river or head over the bridge for the hustle and bustle. Very breathtaking area. Highlight was the traditional breakfast and dinner. So much food with such a huge variety. Would go back again if I was in the Kyoto area. "

"Koko hotel near Nijo Castle is strongly recommended. The room was roomy enough for 4 of us. The staff was friendly. You do need to keep your keycard in the slot near the front door to activate electricity. The property is located on a smaller street (on the same street as the dry cleaner). You may miss it at first. There is a coffee/breakfast spot right next to the hotel. It is quite convenient. We used Uber during our 2 nights stay at Kyoto. They were able to pick us up at the hotel....

"Ana Crown Plaza Hotel is located in a quite area and is not far from Kyoto main train station. We like this lovely hotel because the friendly and knowledgeable of Bell Captains- answered our questions and provided great recommendations of places to visit and the hotel is neat and provides great breakfast buffet. Moreover, the majestic Nijo Castle is just cross street of the hotel."

"What a beautiful boutique hotel. Very unique rooms, love the decor. Really felt authentic Japanese with modern flare. Loved the amenities, the breakfast was amazing and the staff is very attentive. A bit of a walk from the closest train station but overall I would stay here again."
