"Room 17 massive bed but mattress need to be replaced delves in the middle and both end up in the middle of the bed.plus room 17 is right under the dining room so from 07.00 its like marching men all morning.but this is only room 17.one other thing we got told bar was open until 10.30 but the shutters came down at 21.50 with not even a do you want another drink"

"Somewhat obsessed with booking me in for breakfast 3+ days in advance of staying, Dir to availability, and it didn’t reach 50% capacity. WiFi in the room was poor, which hindered me working and watching a movie. Comfortable stay, lovely bar and fireplace area."

"We stayed in one of the suites, Olive 1, for the night. The room is lovely and very clean. Very nice touch having a jacuzzi bath, steam room and sauna all in the room. Highly recommend staying here. We will be returning. "

"We had a great weekend here for our 40th wedding anniversary, all the staff very friendly and helpful. Had room 66 with a fab 4 poster bed and a great view over the lake. We ate in the main restaurant for dinner and it was sumptuous honestly like a Michelin star! Breakfast is spot on, everything you need and more. It’s a big old building with lots of character but nicely upgraded too. Will be back 😊 "

"Great service and friendly staff, nice room & facilities. Breakfast was well cooked, great quality and very tasty....... lots of choice as well ! Fab location. Only draw back is the £25 additional fee for using the car parking facilities, which i think is excessive for a 1 night stay"

"We had an executive suite which was excellent, it was well worth the extra money for the space & the extra touches. The quality of the furnishings & the bedding were very good & the bed was very comfy, we slept so well. it was cleaned each day to the same standard, the only slight issue was the soap dispensers we not very full & we ran out of all by the second day & the one on the sink wasn`t filled, only the bath & shower, we made do as it was our last night. Breakfast was very good, lots of it...
