"this is our 4th stay at Rothay and it remains one of our favourites in the lakes. in winter it’s great to cosy up after a long walk in the garden spa, and the rooms and ambience is really comfortable without any pretentious swagger for which some of the other hotels in the area would charge you £100 per night more. breakfast is good quality and staff are friendly and efficient "

"Second time we have enjoyed a pre Christmas break at The Belsfield and we are already planning a return. The hotel was tastefully festive and very inviting. This down to the hotel itself and the efficient and friendly staff. We had a 1st floor room overlooking the lake and the room was of a good standard. It was comfortable clean and the shower was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent with bags of choice and we also enjoyed an evening meal at the hotel. Well cooked, great value for money and served with a smile. Already looking forward to our next visit👍"
