"For a 4 star hotel i would say that the quality of room furnishing was below par and the bathroom definitely needed a refurb. However the location , with a great sea side saltwater pool, and only 15-20 minute easy walk to Funchal old town, was excellent and made the hotel excellent value for money, overall, at the price. Also great breakfast with full range of choices and lovely staff. A good mid-range choice and we would probably choose it for a future visit."

"So grateful for my stay here. I was flying in before check-in time and they accommodated me and gave me my room early. It was so clean and pretty. I recommend getting a room with a view! It’s so worth it. The breakfast was delicious! And so was their dinner menu. The staff so so sweet! They gave us a welcome beverage which was so delicious. Honestly just obsessed with this property. "We travelled in the off season (early March) and really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a garden view and it was perfect. We strolled through every pathway in the property and for a flower/garden/rose lover it would be absolutely amazing in the summer when everything is in bloom. Our check-in greeting and encounters with staff were always polite and cheerful and breakfast was perfect every morning. We would happily stay here again."

I took this in May on Madeira Island, Portugal! This is one of the most majestic sights I saw on this island paradise! Penha d'Aguia (Eagle Rock) is really impressive to see up close. It was even difficult to get all this in one photo. I need a better lens ;). I saw it after visiting a distillery in Porto da Cruz. Just a few meters away is this massive landscape! Porto da Cruz is located on the northeastern side of Madeira, definitely a picturesque part of the island! There was even some swimmers around where I took this picture. Everyone was having a good time there, either on the beach of walking along the pier :). There was other awesome views to the other side, as well. Incredible cliffs that seem to go on forever. And it was even foggy on that side, a big contrast to what you see here. I also think I saw Eagle Rock from another side, as well. And would love to return and see more views of it!!
