"Part II of my Review The small community of Loreto where the Casa is located, has one main street with several bars, an appliance shop, a market, and a grocery store. The grocery is well stocked (and there is also a chain of large modern groceries scattered around the island). We enjoyed Sunday service at the Catholic Church in town with its outside pews. We also especially enjoyed discovering the network of verada that connected homes and gardens in the terrraced hillsides. Suddenly, at the end...

"Since 1st moment had great experience with host, messaging me in advance to get confirmation and let me know everything ready in advance. Place is nice and clean, towels, bedding, great range of items in the kitchen. Breath taking view, location in the middle of island perfect!"

"Propriété située à 2mn de la levada da Ribeira da Janela. L'intérieur de la maison est vieillot avec une accumulation de décorations poussiéreuses qui rend l'ensemble peu hygiénique. L'escalier intérieur est raide donc il manque vraiment des toilettes au 1er étage pour le confort. Le canapé est vieux et inconfortable, inutile d'imaginer pouvoir s'allonger dessus pour finir sa nuit si vous en avez le besoin. Un vieux fauteuil encombre l'espace repas de la pièce principale. "Madeira is beautiful wherever you go but if you want quiet with less crowds and less neighbors this is the place to stay. It had all the amenities we could ever need and a beautiful yard to draw or read. This is the opposite of a big city life and offers a true getaway from the rise and grind of the everyday hustle."

"C'est une belle maison, agréable, fonctionnelle, et très spacieuse. Nous avons passé 3 belles semaines en famille. Les hôtes sont très prévenants, toujours prêts à aider. La localisation est idéale: on est à proximité de la station balnéaire de Ponta Do Sol, à 30 min de Funchal en voiture et des premières belles randonnées. Bref, nous recommandons !"

"The garden was lovely with a nice secluded spot for sunbathing. The house was nice. The balcony having lovely views over towards the sea. The locals are very friendly. However the house was a little dusty and there could be more attention to the cleaning in the bedroom. The washing machine was not working which was more of an inconvenience."

"This is a nice romantic retreat (log fire in lounge), quiet and set in the woods and pretty gardens and well cared for. Nice place for a meditative retreat or base for walking. Very good wifi. The owner is very helpful and pleasant but not always on site. Apart from no TV or central hotel reception, the apartment was a good size and well equipped, especially the kitchen. Kept clean and fresh. I was alone there on business and unfortunately hit the worst weather imaginable (cold, battering rain...

"Ideal location to relax, unwind, reset, and enjoy the natural beauty of the island. Well-appointed cabin with plenty of space and PERFECT patio space. Would recommend to anyone visiting the island."

"Great apartment with everything you need. Leontina, the owner, is very friendly. The terrace has fabulous views and great for eating breakfast or a glass of wine. Ponta da Sol is a short drive and a nice little town with cafes and restaurants. The location is a great base for exploring the island. The drive up the hill is steep and twisty (but not narrow) but if you are intending to drive in Madeira that is something you have to accept. It is worth it!"

"We really enjoyed our stay! The house has an amazing view, is big, and very clean - everything was perfect. Marcia was also very nice, and communication was super easy via WhatsApp. She provided us with a lot of information beforehand to give us the exact location and recommend good restaurants in the area. Much appreciated and highly recommended! My advice is to not forget shampoo or anything you need, as there is no shop within walking distance"
