"There was plenty of parking. You have to record your registration number at reception to avoid a charge. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to room 4. The room was quite large and was well appointed, however, despite the radiator being on, the room was very cold and unwelcoming. When we returned after our meal in the bar, the room was still very cold and remained so throughout our stay. The bathroom was also very chilly. I mentioned this when we checked out. "Lovely hotel in the very quaint Helmsley - our suite with a balcony overlooking the pool and hot tub was fabulous and spacious. All the team were friendly, efficient and courteous and very responsive. Complimentary parking and plenty of spaces was very welcome- always a plus . "

"First off the owners when contacted were lovely. The place itself could be beautiful but does look slightly run down. The room the granary was gorgeous inside with no issues. The outside "private" hot tub area looked a little worse for wear. Fence leaning over, looked like it needed a lot of TLC and is not private at all. Not inclosed, could see people walking past where it looks like a gate was needed and there was metal stairs going upstairs which we wernt sure where they went. The hot tub...

"Been here 3/4 times, and looking forward to next stay. Food is really good. Service is excellent. Only issue this time was someone clearly had too much to drink in the village and people were shouting in the early hours of the morning. This woke me and i struggled to get back to sleep, but nothing to do with the inn."
