"Excellent service and dinner. Stay spoiled by excessive room noise from external doors and commerical bin banging in the hotel yard outside our room, and from what we think was the kitchen extractor fan running loudly through the night. I wouldn't recommend a room at the rear of the hotel."

"We had a lovely one night stay and enjoyed our time there. The staff and host were all very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Dinner and breakfast were great and would highly recommend staying and dining. The room was extremely comfortable and warm and had been freshly renovated. We could have easily stayed here longer."

"This is above a pub 2 minutes from the station. Eaglescliffe is a nice place to stay though there isn't much around the station to look at. The hotel is a bit basic but clean and good value for money."

"Late arrival and early out but was still welcomed by Alice the owner. Breakfast was offered and even provided at an earlier time than normally given, for which I was very grateful. A great cooked breakfast kicked off my morning and soon I was on my way. This was a perfect location to break up a long North to South journey. Very pleasant indeed. Sad that I missed out on what looked like a super Chinese dining experience for an evening meal! And just a few mins of the A1M"
