"Lovely welcoming feel. Having stayed there a few times now, certainly some bedrooms are decidedly better than others in same category. Breakfast could be a bit more varied, but does the job. Evening meals are good. Fresh milk in the bedroom fridge which is a welcome change to those awful longlife little plastic pots you usually get. Comfortable bar and seating areas."

"We stayed here while visiting friends in the area. It has a really great history and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really robust and we enjoyed it each morning we stayed. The Bar staff was super friendly and we loved the free drink tickets offered at check in. All in all, I thought this was a lovely hotel. It's a bit of a walk to the train station but ubers were really easy to get. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a good value in the area. "

Breakfast hot selection good, but the continental selection wasn't good .... very poor bread selection, hardly any fresh fruit salad, so non hot food guests, would struggle for a good breakfast!! And no-one clears tables, to get rid of dirty plates!! No lift, so it's stairs only, and the fire escapes were left open, to allow guests in and out to the...
