"Well designed if compact rooms with very comfortable beds. Clean. Staff friendly though check in was unhelpful. Breakfast very good, dinner good enough. Parking tight. "

"Stayed previously and the room was great. Sadly, room 338 was probably the worst condition room I’ve ever seen. Marks all over the walls and chunks missing out of the desk. Urgent need of a refurb. The rest of the hotel and breakfast were all great. Arrived just after 4pm and there was no parking available, very expensive locally."

"The staff in hotel went above and beyond they were so helpful and pleasant breakfast was good too. The only downside was the cleaning off the room we had to go down to reception to organise clean towels there was dust in parts of room so they are not being cleaned properly yet the corridors had staff with trolleys all day so no excuse for no room cleaning but the hotel staff made up for that they always had a smile for you "

"Great location , close to the train station, a 10 minute walk from the city centre and close to a variety of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself had been recently refurbished before our last stay so the room and hallways felt particularly fresh. The breakfast buffet, as always, was excellent and the new menu choices were delicious. Whilst spoilt for choice for eateries within walking distance, the hotel restaurant is worth a try. It offers a great evening menu and really tasty food."

"Amazing hotel, lovely and homely with such fantastic staff. The hotel was overlooking the valley and we had a super room overlooking the valley and the viaduct in the distance. We had a day of snow & a power cut but the staff were fantastic. We were made to feel welcome ,the food in the Antler restaurant was amazing good quality and plentiful and the breakfast even had fried bread ! Total winner !!! Only niggles was there is quite a few stairs & if you got a lot of luggage you will be better to...
