"Hotel was really nice,staff we're friendly. Beds we're very comfortable but the only downside was a cold shower but receptionist did explain a boiler had packed up. Geeat breakfast."

"Great location, just off the A34 & a short walk to the Park & Ride into Oxford. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. We paid for an upgraded room but not sure what we got for that. The bathroom was ready for a refurb. Breakfast was buffet stryld with plenty of variety. We have stayed here before & would stay again as it’s very convenient."

"The Vanbrugh House is wonderfully located in the center of historic Oxford. Short walking distance to all the colleges, restaurants, bus station. A little longer but easy walk to train station. Cool historic building. Our family rented 3 rooms: 2 smaller ones and a larger "superior double". All were fine. The superior room was especially large, even by US standards (although the bathroom and shower were tiny). My only negative was that all the beds were pretty uncomfortable. Really hard...
