"Decent 4 star. Room had a good view. Hotel undergoing works but didn’t inconvenience too much other than using stairwell rather than waiting for the lift. This could have been a nuisance if we were on a higher floor. "

"We stayed at the Place for one night. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had a lovely large room on the first floor. The hotel does not have a lift so stairs to the third floor may have been a little taxing for mid 70s. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. A bit of a disturbed night due to traffic noise but all in all a good experience "

"Room was lovely, nice and big. Was a rare sunny week in Scotland, and the room was really hot in the sun. The bed was big but didn’t find it very comfortable and my back hurt afterwards… pool and sauna was nice but the pool was slightly too cold and the sauna also needed to be hotter, cost saving / eco measures for sure but couldn’t get a sweat on in the sauna"
