"I booked this break for my wife's big birthday. We stayed for 2 nights on B&B basis. The hotel looked very festive when we arrived as all the Christmas trees had been put up and decorated. "Hotel was clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed the use of the swimming pool. Our bedroom and bathroom were both very big. Only things that let it down slightly was the walls in the bedroom were very badly chipped on the corners. But otherwise very happy with our stay. "

"Lovely historic building, with stylish and welcoming interiors in all rooms and a lovely roaring fire in the reception area. Lots of nice comfy sofas and seating areas. Bedroom was very comfortable, nicely decorated, the en suite was modern and well maintained. Dinner menu was delicious, with attentive and curteous waiting on tables. Breakfast was also exemplary. We only stayed for one night but would happily have stayed longer if we could. "
