Salmon dry, with nicose salad normal chain ready prepped bagged taste , Husband had ribs. They were ok. Had to go find server to bring desert. Cold and draughty in the raised area by the curtained off dining room extension. "

We asked reception about a garden view and were told “this is the room you booked.” Other than the fact we usually had our curtains closed so that we had some privacy, the room was fine. "

"Place was amazing and really accommodateing, was traviling with a 3 month old and they could not do enough to make us feel welcome and offered all the help we could ask for. Bar and restaurant really lovely food and choices of beers and ciders. "

"A lovely place to stay and would highly recommend. Historic building, friendly helpful staff and great food. Housekeeping is excellent too. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. I stayed in Room 5 and my only complaint was it was a bit chilly at night, I had to sleep with a cardigan on! Also, if you are tall and/or elderly you might find sitting on the toilet challenging with it being so close to the shower door! There is no heating in the bathroom so might be chilly in the winter...

"Stayed one night at this amazing place wished we could have stayed longer. We dined in restaurant the food was excellent hubby had ribeye steak and I tried the belly pork with crushed potatoes leeks and apple sauce and cider which was the most delightful plate of food I’ve had in a long time the staff were very helpful and the breakfast very good would definitely recommend this establishment you will not be disappointed "

"Very quaint, great atmosphere being a pub downstairs with rooms above. It wasn’t noisy even on the weekend. We had a large room for 3. Breakfast choices were fabulous. The staff in the dining room were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely return to the Blue Boar. "
