"Room 127 had a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom, like drains. Otherwise both rooms very clean & well presented. Staff were excellent, friendly & efficient. I found the bed very hard but the rest of our party were happy so that must be down to personal choice."

"We arrived early hoping to leave our luggage and go exploring. The helpful lady on Reception found us an available room, though explained it was a bit ‘up and down stairs’. She was right - it was a rather convoluted room to get to but it was spacious and clean and the hotel was well located. We had an issue with the toilet leaking but it was quickly repaired. "

Lovely welcome from staff in reception, friendly bar staff - delicious food and food menu in the evening although some choices were not available at 8pm on a Saturday night despite there being only 3 tables filled. Great breakfast buffet. Only complaint for the weekend was reporting the toilet flush/ cistern not working properly...

"So quiet! We knew that the hotel was next to a busy road so were a bit worried that reviews saying it was quiet were not quite right. But they were! Our room was spacious and so quiet. The beds were comfortable and the walk-in shower was lovely. The reception and bar area was above what I thought it might be for the price and there were even small emergency snacks (noodles and chocolate bars) and toiletries available to buy. Car parking wasn't available on site but the open air one just a 2...
