"I came to the Golden sands for my husbands birthday weekend and our stay there was superb from start to finish. The staff were very accommodating esp Mechelle who helped me coordinate with decorators to set up the room for my husbands birthday surprise as well as throwing in a complimentary birthday breakfast and bottle of wine in there. "This was our first time staying in Barbados and at the hotel. We had a 1-bedroom Queen suite with ocean view. Very spacious, well equipped and fabulous view overlooking the pool and ocean. Plenty of sun beds available every day; parking for our vehicle; and some great restaurants all within a short walking distance. Staff were great and we would definitely return to The South Gap. "

"The hotel is situated on a public road, providing convenient access to public transportation, including buses to and from Bridgetown and Oistins. However, heavy traffic persists throughout the day and late into the night, particularly on weekends. Access to Maxwell Beach is about 500 mts (546.8 yards). This is one of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in the area, even when there are 3 resorts. There are no kiosks and bars on the beach, so come prepared. I just wish there would be...

"We had a wonderful time at the Yellow Bird. We stayed in the suite and had a very spacious mini apartment with a spectacular view. The staff were amazing- friendly and always helpful. The location is very convenient to St Lawrence gap and walkable to many great bars and restaurants. "

"The staff were friendly and very accomodating, from the receptionist to the cleaning staff. The room was modern, clean and well lit. The quesadilla and burger we ordered were great as well. Even tho the property is not located on the beach, the beach is literally across the street and very convenient. I'll definitely stay at Marriott again."

"Clean and comfortable. All rooms face sea and directly on beach. Only about 20 rooms so get to know other guests round the small pool. No evening restarraunt but serves food during day. Convenient for st Lawrence gap and food trucks at Worthing. "

"I came to the Golden sands for my husbands birthday weekend and our stay there was superb from start to finish. The staff were very accommodating esp Mechelle who helped me coordinate with decorators to set up the room for my husbands birthday surprise as well as throwing in a complimentary birthday breakfast and bottle of wine in there. The food at the restaurant attached to the hotel was also spectacular. We very much enjoyed the breadfruit coocoo with king fish as well as pudding and souse. The rooms were clean and equipt with all we needed and the location was awesome situated right across from beach and a short walk to the oistins fish fry. I highly recommend the Golden Sands hotel"
