"Hotel is a well kept, decent hotel and the beach is right across the road. There is a restaurant on site but there is a kitchenette in the room. Would have been nice to have instant coffee in the room."

"I had a very pleasant stay at South Gap Hotel and would highly recommend it. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered a stunning ocean view. The pool and pool deck had a really cool vibe—perfect for relaxing. The only downside was the slow service at the restaurant. However, that was easily overlooked thanks to Tia at the front desk. "Cute little hotel... rooms are lovely, grounds a little dated but kept very clean. The food was really good in the restaurant and Hal the bartender is great! It's very reasonable considering the proximity to beach and having a nice little pool around back. A little noisy from being on main road, but handy as well! Would recommend for sure.."

"We had a wonderful time at the Yellow Bird. We stayed in the suite and had a very spacious mini apartment with a spectacular view. The staff were amazing- friendly and always helpful. The location is very convenient to St Lawrence gap and walkable to many great bars and restaurants. "

"Well it would have been nice to have some proper bedside lamps to facilitate reading. There is little to do after hours as there is no TV and the location is rather remote. As a reader I found that the lights above the bed were inadequate and one did not have the option of turning off one. So I had to sleep early when my travelling companion retired. I stay up rather late and so it was not the most ideal situation. "

"Simple but adequate hotel near to the main road. Quiet surroundings. Dining places nearby. ZR vans transport close by. Friendly staff. It is a training institute, so there are a lot of young trainees. They were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but quite sufficient. Ask for toast if you want. A bottle of wine was the VIP perk, but I was not able to get late check-out or upgrade as it was fully booked. "

"We stayed one night at butterfly beach before our flight home. Very spacious rooms with good amenities for a holiday. Due to us returning to Barbados for our wedding anniversary, the wonderful hotel receptionists provided us with a bottle of cava, which was a lovely touch to round off our holiday. Would recommend. "

"Room was clean and adequate. Hotel is very limited with helping you plan anything or give advise. Pool bar and restauarant not promoted and also limited. Driving in the area is dangerous. You should know this before you rent a car. Very congested"

"I came to the Golden sands for my husbands birthday weekend and our stay there was superb from start to finish. The staff were very accommodating esp Mechelle who helped me coordinate with decorators to set up the room for my husbands birthday surprise as well as throwing in a complimentary birthday breakfast and bottle of wine in there. The food at the restaurant attached to the hotel was also spectacular. We very much enjoyed the breadfruit coocoo with king fish as well as pudding and souse. The rooms were clean and equipt with all we needed and the location was awesome situated right across from beach and a short walk to the oistins fish fry. I highly recommend the Golden Sands hotel"

"The hotel is a joy, a place of rest & relaxation. It has a certain low key atmosphere and vibes that makes it unique on the island, in my opinion. This was our third stay, at DBH & it won’t be the last. I should add too, that DBH is in a perfect location, steps to Dover Market, and St Lawrence Gap for restaurants & entertainment. Also it is a short walk up to the main road for buses. And Oistins with its Fish Fry is close by. Barbados is a gem, & Dover Beach adds to its shine"
