"Fantastic hotel and really lovely staff. The breakfast was good and because it was cooked in small batches, hot and fresh. Coffee served in a cafetiere and tea in a teapot. We ate in the bar one evening and the food was delicious. The room we stayed in was large with a very comfortable 4 poster bed. Bathroom was large and supplied with shower gel, shampoo and hand wash. "Just awful 😞 a large empty car park except for one car and a smashed glass bar door covered up with a piece of plywood greeted you when you drove in. It spoke volumes really. We checked in which was pleasant enough by a helpful young man, and checked out again 5 minutes later. Not a good sign when the cleaning team were still cleaning the bedrooms at 4.30pm. But the main thing was the overwhelming smell of the corridors and the rooms was enough to make your eyes water and you could still smell...
