"Second visit to this magnificent hotel and cannot fault anything really. Fantastic staff and always welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. At the moment it appears to be having renovation work which causes no problems for guests. It is brilliant the hotel fact is central to a variety of things for tourists, for example, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs and all viewpoints for sightseers. Finally the accommodation offers entertainment and a place to eat & relax."

"Great location and well maintained clean hotel. Nobody at reception when I arrived and no way to contact anyone so a bit of a wait. This is a traditional old British building (though modernised) but this does mean uneven floors, small corridors and lots of stairs. Rooms are more than comfortable, well decorated and overall I’d recommend this hotel and would stay again."

"Very nice one night stay. Hotel is nicely located opposite Deal beach. Lady at check in was friendly and helpful. "Great stay, lovely staff, and a building full of character! Breakfast and the pool were truly awesome, too. The only downside was some furniture/equipment needing a bit of love (door knob broken on the bedside table, screw on the window loose, hook behind the door in the changing rooms of the pool broken etc), plus a bit of noise from the road but really nothing major at all, it was a lovely stay overall"
