"Our stay at Puerto Azul Hotel Y Club Nautico was good overall. They accommodated our very late check-in at 1:30 am, which was appreciated since our flight was late getting into San Jose. "The room was exactly as depicted on the website. Breakfasts were great, and we saw some beautiful birds right on the property (motmot and parrot). We were given misinformation about a tour and were told that the park entrance fee was included but it was not. Overall, we would stay at this property again."

"We stayed here as a family of 4 in March with two teenage boys, in the family room. It had a frosted glass door entrance, and then beyond that was two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. One bedroom had two twin beds and a TV, the other had a queen bed and no TV. Bathroom had a standup shower. Water was plenty hot but the pressure is very low. Heads up you cannot put toilet paper in the toilet here, has to go in the garbage can. Breakfast was in the dining area down the hall. You have two options of...

"Beautiful location, stunning mountain views and the clouds just roll on in to your balcony. Walking distance to some cool places and restaurants. They have a good shuttle service to the forest. Only feedback is some of the staffs attitudes, 2 of the employees were helpful, friendly and kind. The rest seemed snobby and almost judgemental. Could've been 5 stars if it weren't for that. We were WELL AWARE of our checkout time, yet walked by the front desk and stated we are going to pack. 5 minutes...

"Location up in the rain forest was beautiful. Really felt far removed from town, even though it really wasn’t that far. Staff is amazing; attentive and friendly. The view from the main lodge was so peaceful. Rooms are large albeit a little spartan but I do appreciate their eco practices. The food at the restaurant was the best we had while in Costa Rica."
