"The hotel itself is ckean and the staff are friendly and informative. We had booked a double and got two single beds (although this seems to be the norm in Laos from my experience). The toilet seemed to be blocked along the line a bit (I suspect soneone throw toilet paper down) so a few times we had to find a plunger. Aircon struggled in the heat, but the room had strong ceiling fans. I also like the seperate shower and toilet. I'm not sure the pools PH leveks are checked, as after a short swim...

"Wonderful stay during Lao New Year celebrations! Very walkable, nice air-conditioned rooms, very clean property, nice breakfast. Only downside is that it’s right next to a bar so music plays quite loudly until about 11 pm, but honestly not a huge deal for the quality of the property. Highly recommend "

"I stayed 9 nights here in Villa Phonetip and it was perfect. I had room 4 which had its own private entrance up a little lane way with view of the Meekong. I could sit on my private balcony and watch the sunset each evening ! The location is perfect with lots of riverside restaurants very nearby and it’s only a few minutes walk to the Main Street and night markets. The rooms are large, bright and clean with good air con. Finally the staff could not have been more helpful in arranging a few tours...

"Great little boutique property with an aesthetic pool, clean rooms, and wonderful breakfast. The rooms are nice and comfortable with good AC and comfy beds. The pool has limited sunshine in the winter months but it was relaxing and beautiful. Staff was very helpful. Just a few blocks from the night market, morning market, and a bustling downtown make it a great location for the city. Would recommend!"

"Don't stay here. Here are the main reasons. 1- location. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. You need a taxi to go to the center every time. That's cost at least five dollars each time. 2- The food is terrible so we had to go to the took and skip the breakfast included. 3. Wifi is the worst. 4- this hotel is so overpriced. You can get something better for half of it in Laos. 5. The service is very poor."
