"Great location in Havana close to the water, old town sites, restaurants and transportation. Al was a wealth of knowledge and entertainment. The house was huge and immersed you in the senses of Havana. The sounds of the city were pretty intense, especially on Saturday night. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. "Lovely hot shower and the only place I stayed that didn't experience a power cut! So the air-conditioning worked and the room was nice and cool. The owner looked after my case and let me wait in reception for a couple of hours for my taxi to the airport. Only downside was rather a lot of mosquitoes and midges in the room, but they were everywhere in Cuba. I got bitten when I don't normally and ran out of spray (so bring plenty)."

"We had a wonderful time at Hostal Los Villanueva. We were welcomed by friendly Elias upon arrival and met Moises who work at the Hostal. They were very helpful and friendly, we felt like home! They not only looked after us but we had insightful talks with them and learned a lot about Cuba, very interesting! Our bedroom was super clean and comfortable, with bath walk-in shower, TV with a wide range of channels, fridge and air con. We highly recommend this Hostal. ❤️"
