"There is only one place to stay in Havana and that's Boutique Casa 1932 in down to earth and fascinating Centro! Your host Louis is a super friendly and very helpful guy who speaks fluent English! His wife and all staff, especially Jorge, are also very nice and friendly! There is always someone at the front door, making the place feel very welcoming and safe. It's an old building about a block from the famous Malecon in a perfect location for exploring Havana on foot. Most of the sights are in Old Havana and Vedado but for the real life Havana, do spend a good few hours just strolling the fascinating streets of Centro, it's like stepping into a black and white classic from the 1940's! Casa 1932 fits right into this movie set! It's an old building with an atmosphere so thick that you almost forget it's 2025! It's only when you enjoy a very nice shower and turn on the aircon that you're reminded of which time period you're living in! There is not even a tv to ruin the atmosphere, amazing! I stayed here twice on two different occasions over a period of two weeks, each time in a different room and both were fantastic! My favourite was the family room which felt like a time capsule! So much character and so much soul! The rooms also have a safe should you need one. Stepping into the front room is truly like stepping into a living museum! Packed with fascinating objects but still feels homely. All in all this is one of my absolute favourite places to stay in the whole world! "

"My sister and I absolutely loved our stay at Alhabana. 1st the level of service is warm, generous, attentive, very personalized, knowledgeable and effective. We were able to communicate with Mariem before getting to Havana, and she was extremely helpful and accommodating from the beginning providing great information that was valuable allowing us to plan an epic trip. All the reception staff we worked with (Mariem, Fabio and Rafael) maintained the same level of personable, kind, resourceful service throughout our stay with seamless communication and cooperation among them allowing them to keep track of all our activities. They were all key to arranging great excursions, transportation and any other services we needed with incredible service providers. 2nd the property is exceptionally clean, well maintained, breakfast was great (special mention to Pedro and Pavel), and all amenities were present as listed. The casa is well located as we were able to walk most of the time to our activities in the city. We recommend this place if you are looking to have an immersive, authentic experience in Havana."

"This is an excellent small hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful with fluent English speakers. They booked excellent car and walking tours for us, and also provided solid advice on restaurants and getting around. The hotel is in a great location, but you’ll need to be able to walk up and down the long flight of stairs—which is pretty typical for Havana. They moved our large bags for us, so you just need to manage yourself. Drinks on the terrace upstairs at sunset was just delightful. Security is excellent with room safes and 24-hour staff presence. Our room had a very nice private bath, easily controlled air conditioning, and a well-equipped minibar. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you’re new to Havana and need a good base of operations. They will help you make the most of your visit."
