Only disappointment I went down to breakfast early as suggested by hotel to avoid the rush but breakfast items were had been there a while. "I imagine this hotel was nice… 20 years ago when the photos advertising it were taken. Such a shame because it’s a nice building in a lovely area. I can’t speak for the original building itself, maybe those rooms are better kept, but we were placed in the outbuilding across the way and the rooms were incredibly tired and shoddy, with chipped paintwork and soiled carpet. The toilet was stained and there were no toiletries in the bathroom. On arrival, we had to use the telephone as instructed on...

I was welcomed at reception by a friendly helpful receptionist and the lady serving breakfast was also friendly and helpful. In all it was a really good experience and I will be returning. "
