"The location is amazing. All the good restaurants are right on the boardwalk. You don't have to go far at all steak, seafood, burger, shaved ice, I think I saw sushi too. Definitely recommend Fish Hopper. The hotel has beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for you to borrow for the day. And coffee at the lobby during morning time. You can also rent their bike for free. They also have free self service laundry for you to use. But you need to get your own detergent. You can get that in the ABC store...

"Sandy beach, ocean view, and shopping access was awesome! Luau was great! Billfish restaurant had amazing food. Hotel breakfast buffet was ok, food was not hot. Wouldn’t do buffet again. "Kona Coast Resort was a perfect stay for my wife and I - staff here are amazing. A nice location slightly out of the Kona thoroughfare. Great sized rooms & fully equipped kitchen. Not associated with the resort itself, however as a word of warning if staying here, unless you want to buy into a timeshare, don't sign up with the activities desk for a 'short presentation' to unlock discounted activity rates."

I found it strange that the host came by an knocked on the door an hour after we arrived (I had to jump out the shower to answer) and then asked me 5 times to let her know when we planned on leaving via text and with a note even tho the listing said checkout is at 10 am.
