Dario, the Italian-born owner, and his staff are very sweet , dedicated individuals who are attentive and available but not sleek and overbearing as in most of the resort hotels. Do not miss the bar and restaurant of the neighboring Luna Beach Club only few steps away where you can nurse a margarita or mojito at sunset on the beach, all the way to moonrise, taking in the peacefulness of this part of Mahahuhal. "I have been traveling to Mahahual for solo fishing adventures every year for at least the last 8 years, and I have always stayed at the Cabanas Del Doctor, and I always will! I don't need anything fancy, but for the very reasonable price of a room or cabana here you won't find anything even close to as good. Also, the woman who runs the hotel/cabanas is wonderful, I look forward to seeing her every year. Hope to be back again soon, thank you for everything once again!"
