"The stay was better than expected. Nothing over the top but perfect. The property appeared t be a little older but not outdated. It was actually better kept than some newer properties I've stayed at. I did have one issue with the tub having a constant flow of water due to a gasket being worn. It wasn't a big deal but I let the front desk know so they'd be aware. Someone was there maybe 5 minutes later. Had it replaced & fixed in less than 30 minutes which is great considering it was the weekend....

"Very nice hotel. We arrived February 14th and were greeted with Chocolate covered strawberries. We were attending a family wedding downtown. Close by to every place we needed to go. But...we didn't realize that same weekend (Sunday, check-out day) there was a Marathon going on. I wish check out staff had warned us before we left the hotel. Road blocks everywhere. I love the smell of avgas in the morning! Airshow time!! Last year, the US government cut back on defense department spending, which cut into airshow performances around the United States. This year, the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Air Force Thunderbirds have been given the all-clear to perform at various shows around the country. This shot of two Blue Angels F-18 Hornets making a high speed and close pass was taken at the South Texas Airshow on March 29th, at Naval Air Station, Kingsville.
