"Decent hotel with a great view and nice spacious rooms... not too far from city center, but too far to walk as there is a bit of traffic. Breakfast and amenities could be better for the price."

"This is a hotel outside of Ella (25 minutes) a bit misleading as we discovered. The room is a 2 story so you have plenty of room but more than you really need unless you have a big family with you. The room is decorating simple and not updated. The view is great as you’re surrounded by so much foliage but if you plan to hike in Ella and enjoy their many restaurants and take the train from there, do yourself a favor and stay in the actual town, would’ve been much better. "

"Amazing time at Ella Retreat, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is located a short drive away from Ella city, which is a bit sketchy at times heading up the mountain (but exhilarating). Being away with nature was great, be sure to visit the nearby waterfall! "

"We had an amazing stay here! The hotel is very close to the Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arches walk. The staff were truly wonderful and went out of their to way to make my friend’s birthday very special, decorating our room and made her a fantastic cake with very little notice! Having breakfast on their terrace with the wonderful views was one of the highlights! Highly recommend staying here!"

"I live the entertainment but the issue is to reach the hotel. We have to get a another small rental vehicle to get there."

"Me and my two friends really enjoyed staying at Belmond Ella. The hotel owner and his staff were all super nice and helpful - whether it was helping with tuk tuks, doing laundry and/or offering coffee/tea. Every time we came back it felt like coming home. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was the best with nice surroundings and was a bit different every day. The mountain view was also amazing!"

"Beautiful property, the room was very nice also with good quality of food. On the other hand, the service can definitely be improved for a 5 stars hotel, such as massages for 2, welcoming message, taxi service. Too expensive for what it is, need some improvement but we had a great time there"
