"Antigua Village was (I think) the first resort to be built on the island - and theres a good reason why they chose Dickenson Bay. Wonderful sandy beach - now somewhat dominated by the huge Sandals neighboring resort. We did go 19 years ago - before Sandals and it was great. "The place is not modern however it was nice for what we needed. The water was hot, the a/c worked. The location was centrally located. We walked to Dickerson Bay which was about 20 minutes. The cab to town was $20 and it’s about 20 mins from the airport or a $25 cab ride. "
