"It's a very old hotel, so lots of features. Some people might think it's dated but that's part of the charm. Corridors etc. need an update although this is a massive task. However, our bedroom was lovely as was the ensuite, it was warm, clean, very comfortable beds, traditionally furnished & well decorated. All the public rooms were comfortable & well presented. Breakfast was very good even though it was buffet style. The food was constantly being brought out fresh & hot. With tea/coffee table...

"Modern style & decor. We heard someone describe it as an ‘outdoorsy styled Premier Inn’ and would agree, with some nice additions of all day hot drinks and 4pm cake. We had a ‘small double’ room but this was a generous size with plenty of storage to unpack into. Everything was clean and the linen & towels were good quality. "The building itself is old and as a result has a lot of charm, I needed somewhere to stay close to stoke hospital but didn’t want to break the bank, this hotel didn’t, the staff were all friendly bed was clean and comfy, I will say take toiletries though as the ‘complimentary’ ones consisted of 2 small soaps. Breakfast was lovely and worth the extra expense "
