"Just returned from a week staying at the Holiday Inn Express. Excellent convenient location for access by train to the Airport and Central Amsterdam. The Continental breakfast has a nice variety of foods and extremely helpful staff. We arrived early from an international flight and Reception provided us with an early check in for 35 Euros extra. Regular check in is 3pm. Rooms facing the train station can be a bit noisy for obvious reasons. The grocery store beside the hotel has a wide range of...

"Hotel was clean, staff were lovely and the facilities were as to be expected Good location to catch the number 2 tram into the city Neighbourhood isn’t the best, and if a fire truck leaves the station on the corner it is a little loud! Only slight improvement I would suggest is that, even though a coffee machine in the room is nice, more than 1 pod in a room for 2 for 2 nights would be helpful, and perhaps don’t charge for the pods at reception?"

This is an absolutely excellent place to stay for events in the area as it is right beside the queues for ziggo done and the stadium "

"Love the moxy hotel, modern and quirky. Breakfast was not great if you went for the hot option, it wasn't hot. We ordered food from the bar one night too. Chicken salad and a burger. Didn't even know a salad could be bad by it it was! Go out and eat. Or check out the restaurant upstairs maybe. Rooms were always clean, pillows need relooking at. 1 pillow was not enough but 2 was breaking your next. Woke up with either back ache or neck ache all 3 mornings, our whole group did."

"We really liked the Avenue Hotel. It has very professional staff, was clean and the rooms were nice. It is in a fantastic location between Centraal Station and Dam Square. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops as well as public transportation in the, area. Would definitely stay there again. "
