"Was warmly welcomed given room and paid no problems room was on ground floor no45 unfortunately the bar area was quite close and very noisy due to a builders Christmas party in full swing doing karaoke I persevered for an hour as I needed sleep I asked if I could move to another room and was instantly moved upstairs to a quiet room which was perfect So thanks for been so helpful great nights sleep good breakfast so after a iffy start it was a great stay thanks "

"YES WE ENJOYED OUR STAY VERY MUCH. LOVELY WARM AND HOMELY HOTEL. LOVED THE QUIRKY LIFT. LOVED THE HISTORY OF THE HOTEL. THE DOWNSIDE WAS THE EXTORTIONATE PRICE OF SANDWICHES AND SOUP FROM THE BAR. £10 FOR A WAFER THIN SANDWICH OF BEEF AND 4 CHEAP CRISPS. SOUP ALSO £10. SCANDALOUS ALSO DRINKS EXPENSIVE. THE BAR ROOM WAS FAR TOO DARK. WE WILL BE BACK BUT WILL CERTAINLY NOT ORDER FOOD!!!! "

"It is a very welcoming pub with rooms. Big beds and bathroom. Very clean. Cosy bar. Excellent breakfast. Close to the M1."

"Room was large and very nice but extremely hot at times, I'm sure I would've been provided with a fan should I have asked but I didn't as I was in and out due to work, so that was on me, not the hotel. Staff were fantastic and nice relaxed feel about the place. Would definitely stay again when in the area."
