"Fantastic staff and the perfect budget hotel. We came to see a band Ghost and it was not far to walk back from the venue. No lift though which was hard carrying a heavy case up the stairs. Good bus service to shopping centre right outside hotel. I would recommend and come again "

"Hampton by Hilton did what I expected them to do. Room was clean and fresh. Only wished the bed was more comfortable but I managed to sleep ok. The gym was very small and adequate for a light work out but not suitable for a gym bunny or someone looking for a decent workout. Breakfast is a self serve buffet which seems standard in most hotels these days. Wasn’t a big range of cooked food but it was ok. I was hoping I would be able to sample a proper Scottish breakfast but it wasn’t my second day...

"I didn’t spend much time in the hotel - I was in transit to the Highlands - but it had what I needed at a price point that was very reasonable. Clean and comfortable, but it was a little strange sleeping in a room with no window!"

"The staff was very friendly and helpful, made our stay very comfortable. The rooms condition was not upto the mark, and its terrible that the bathroom didn't have a ventilator/fan. It could be better maintained as a Mercure property."
