"Nice boutique feel to the hotel. Overall decor was good, a few tired elements let it down like the iron burn on the carpet and the bathroom flooring. Staff very very friendly. Everywhere was very clean. Good spot to stay to access the city centre."

"Absolutely beautiful old hotel in a lovely setting. We have stayed before and we will be back as the rooms are so well decorated and equipped. We have stayed in so many hotels over the years and have never come across rooms so clean and the en-suite as well was immaculate. Staff are amazing and breakfast 1st class. "We stayed as a couple for one night as we were going to the very nearby Norwich arts centre for a gig. The hotel was both classy and cosy, everything was a nice size ( room, bed, bathroom etc), very clean and everything we needed. The building itself is grand, kooky and welcoming. "I always like staying at the Hatfield. Its been 15 years ive been staying and i just think its a lovely cheerful place to stay. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is good and the service is quick. The rooms are comfortable and warm. It reminds me of how hotels used to be, its like going back in time, in a good way. Well done to all keeping the Hatfield charming and warm."

"Outstanding place. Very rustic, delicious food, great sevice and immaculate accommodation. The only downside is the noise of the traffic when you are staying in the roof rooms as there is little sound insulation. Take earplugs and you will sleep soundly!"

"Given the location of our room I feel that a floor plan should be shown on the website as our room overlooked the car park and was directly over main entrance and reception and if I’d known I would have chosen a different room. Perfect visit

"We had a lovely stay in one of the garden rooms for 2 nights. All staff were really friendly. We had breakfast included which had a good selection and would recommend the porridge! We had two evening meals and they were fresh, tasty and filling. The atmosphere in the dining and lounge areas is relaxing and perfect for us. The location was ideal for us to visit further along the Norfolk coastline and the Broads. This isn’t the first time we have stayed at the Wayford Inn and we we hope to returning again. "
