"Just wow....this hotel is great. Located near the airport just a five minute drive. Check in was wonderful. Greated by a friendly and helpful person. Rooms were clean and spacious. The bar and restaurant were spacious as well and had a good variety. Friendly staff throughout. Ample parking underground. "

"Disabled access room with good wet room. Beds were comfortable and there was a great selection at breakfast. The breakfast room did get rather crowded and staff seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. Very handy location for trade fair, botanical garden and Senkenberg museum and near to public transport. "

"The hotel is absolutely okay for a few nights. Easy to reach on foot from the train station. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the breakfast! There really is everything you could wish for. You can bake waffles, make smoothies from fresh fruit and vegetables and there's a great selection of other things too. There is also an extra corner with gluten-free and lactose-free products. "

"I arrived at 7am on New Year's Eve and with a 3pm check-in had planned to drop my luggage, have breakfast and explore. "We stayed here twice (each time once night) while in transit between the US and other countries. The hotel is located very conveniently in the city center and we walked to dinner and did a little additional sightseeing on our brief 24 hours stays in Frankfurt. Staff was very kind and helpful. "Before leaving this review I read a few of the negative reviews of others. Some had decent things to say and some were just rude and expecting 5 star treatment in a 3 star place. This is a no frills hotel. You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy. And that is okay!! These hotels rooms are basic not for hanging out in all day. There are lots of things to do around the hotel so go explore!! Hotel am zoo is in a very convenient location. Close to coffee shops and bakeries and a good diverse selection of restaurants. Also, Our hotel room was clean and simply put together, it feels very safe here. Also the train station is just steps away from the hotel. The staff at the front desk are very kind and courteous. They were extremely helpful to me when I was trying to figure out the train system and by a ticket to Aachen. I butchered many German words (my pronunciation is horrible) but they were very patient with me and figured out what I needed. If you are looking for just a place to stay so you can explore the city then Hotel am zoo is a great option. Definitely recommend for the traveler needing a no frills but affordable, safe, quiet and clean place. 🤗"
