"This is a fantastic place to stay. The room was warm and welcoming. Really nicely presented throughout the whole of the hotel. Food in the restaurant was simply outstanding. "This is our third stay at the villa Stokkum. Our family lives in Hannah now and it is a very convenient walk for us back-and-forth to their home as we visit for 10 days. "Hotel was perfect for a short stay for one in Hanau. Walkably close to the train station and city center. The only thing I didn’t like was that the room did not have A/C and the days were 90 degrees. I could have managed without A/C, as I am normally not an A/C person, but the windows did not have screens so I couldn’t leave them open overnight. IMHO if you dont have A/C, af least have screens."

"This hotel is in a quiet safe neighborhood. So if you’re looking for easy access to restaurants or other amenities, this isn’t the place for you. "This is a discount hotel, and for those purposes it is very good. if you sleep with the window open, the traffic noise is quite loud, but being from the city, it did not bother me much. Notes for American tourists. You must contact the hotel in order to check in, and when they say 3 PM check-in, it means 3 PM. "I learned the hotel was first built 1876, the first in Germany to have electricity for lighting and the first in Frankfurt to have a landline for long-distance calls. That's pretty unique! Staff is very responsive, courteous, and pleasant. Rooms were a nice size, all clean. Easy walkable access to many things. After we figured out the underground (it's massive), had access to a spot across town a bit. "

Funky Little Place!

"Really neat hotel and perfect place to stay with a friend before embarking on a river cruise. We each got our own single room which was wonderful after the long flight from Atlanta. Decent food at the hotel bar. Kind of weird check in procedure (at the bar) but overall a great place!"
