"Nice hotel, friendly staff, good food."

"Hotel room was perfect for a family very comfy beds and pillows, shower was a delight felt like i was getting a massage. Swimming pool was nice but changing rooms and toilets needed cleaning very dirty and run down. Food was very dissapointing and restaurant washy even open on the Tuesday night so had to find somewhere to eat. Breakfast was poor 13.95 for a full english and left a lot to desire for portion size and taste. Had some cheesy chips for lunch that were undercooked and tasteless....

"The breakfast is so unimaginative.. and lacking for the price!! The staff don’t offer more tea or juice, and disappear it feels like. We’ve stayed many times as location is convenient but food lets this place down!"

"This is a great hotel. Friendly staff, excellent food and lovely location by the river side make this an ideal spot to unwind. Dinner was outstanding. Breakfast is free and it’s not some stale bread and weak tea. You have choices including full English. We are from the US and we shall be back. It’s that good!"

"Had a lovely stay in a superior room. Every thing was very clean, in the room and the hotel bar/lounge. The room it's self was huge, we had a jacuzzi bath and a four poster bed. The bed was lovely and comfortable. All the staff were very attentive and chatty. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to give this hotel a go. The rooms are exceptional value compared to others in the area of the same price."

"An ideal base geographically for chosen sight seeing locations along with meeting up with friends. Disappointed that the room was not within the original 17 century building with so much character. I was allocated a ground floor room in a relatively new block at the rear of the property. The room did not really have any wow factor and I got the feeling that these are the rooms provided to workmen during the week. The pop up plug in the sink was missing and the bath plug did'nt fit. "Very comfortable stay with a wonderful breakfast in an old and well kept pub. The room was very clean, roomy and cosy. Bathroom worked well and had hot water always. The staff were kind and helpful. We had two days where there was no breakfast because it was Christmas and they discounted those two nights but also provided some oatmeal tubs for us and extra bits for the morning which we appreciated. We travel a lot and we feel the value for the room, food and location is excellent. I would stay...
