"The property in itself was average (rooms/bathrooms etc). There was an overwhelming smell of food, I wish they provide some ventilation to remove odor. BUT, the service was excellent, everyone was friendly and helpful. And the freebies were extraordinary compared to other hotels in the area. We got a ticket for one free drink in the evening. There was free coffee and fresh baked bread and fresh soup for evening snack. The breakfast in the morning was also made from scratch (and not recooked frozen food or food made from mixes). Pancakes were fresh and so was everything (roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, sausage). Omlettes were being made-to-order. And there was free parking (which does not seem to be the norm in PDX). All in all, this was a great stay. Would highly recommend."

"We had a fun and short stay at Moxy Portland Downtown, and we really enjoyed it! The hotel has a cool, energetic vibe and is both kid and pet-friendly, which was perfect for our family. The location is right in the heart of downtown, making it super convenient to explore the city. We loved the playful atmosphere and modern design. The only thing that could use a little improvement is the cleanliness — just a bit more attention to detail would make the experience even better. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back!"

"Tidy hotel which is totally recommended if you want walking distance access to night life, reasonable 0.5-mile walking distance access to Union Station (Amtrak) and are OK with being around a significant number of unhoused people on streets. On-site cafe (8 a.m. - 10 p.m.) is great and uses real food ingredients so do not expect rapid food. Good atmosphere. Staff super friendly, and hotel is eco-conscious and has set of solar panels. Across the road from Darcelle XV (drag show bar) and CC Slaughter (gay bar). Be aware people outside are noisy. Close distance to dance clubs, bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Buses have stops within a couple blocks of hotel in Chinatown area."
