"Perfect Japanese style room. Definitely recommend for holiday at nearby resorts. But not for anything romantic as it’s a family oriented place. note bathroom and showers are shared and from 5-9pm only. Good for a group or a couple on a quick holiday."

"The rooms had a classic "Showa era" style, which gave them a great atmosphere, and were quite spacious for two people. The onsen was on the small side but clean and nice, with a pretty outdoor area. There was a lounge area with free drinks, nuts, and dried fruit. It was a decent value. I'd stay there again."

"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. "Large lodge within short walking distance of Prince Gondola number 2. My group of 5 stayed in for 2 nights. We had 2 tatami rooms with the wall divider separated to make the room 1 large room. Sleeping arangements were Futons on the floor which we had to unfold and prepare ourselves, but everything was provided in the cupboards. Sinks, toilets are shared with everyone on the same floor but there is plenty to go around for everyone. There is also a mens only and womens only communal bath on...
