"We stayed at Fryingpan for 5 nights and it was truly lovely. The shared bathrooms are very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast every morning was western style but delicious. A very short walk to the Annupurni gondola and lifts. Above all of the wonderful accommodations were the lovely people and staff we met while staying there. I cannot say enough good things about the hospitality and the friends we met while staying there. Amazing place run by wonderful people. "

"The Niseko Ski Lodge lives up to its name--a rustic ski lodge. The staff were super friendly, and international. Upstairs rooms mostly share a bath, but we had a room with a private bath. The pre-fab bathroom was tiny and weirdly placed with a ~10" step up. Room size was good, but it was stiflingly hot with the radiator heat. "Very nice owner/hostess. This is a very clean typocal Japanese pension. Nothing fancy except the toilets, which are the high tech heated seats/bidet. Conveniently located in Hirafu village with easy ski access. "

"Clean and cozy guesthouse. Breakfasts were delicious. Yamasan provided rides to local ski areas (and to medical appointments after my husband got injured); and both Yamasan and his wife were very helpful for organizing taxis and for shipping luggage. Arigato gozaimasu! "

"A clean property with bunk bed rooms. Each bed has curtains for privacy and a lamp and electric outlet. The property is two floors. The bathrooms, showers, and some hot water heaters for tea, etc, are on the first floor. The guests were mostly under 30 from their looks. And there is a restaurant in the lodge where the included breakfast is served and dinner can be purchased. All the staff, except in the restaurant were native english speaking."
