From bread to pizza, pies and everything in between. He also went over and beyond and called around to find a personal guide to show us around the area that was honest and trustworthy. "Really good place to stay if you want to be right in the middle of the city where the locals are. Even with the hustle and bustle of the area really quite hotel. I stayed in the hostel which is good for 1 or 2 nights. Was also allowed to check in early. Museums are really close to the hotel. As well as el mercado central. "

"The nicest and sweetest family runs this hostel. I broke my phone during my trip and the lady that runs it went out of her way to help me order a taxi ride on a local ride app with her phone to make sure I got the airport safely to get home. She didn’t speak English but that didn’t stop her being a great person and helping me out. Showers could use more warmer water but overall not issues "

"Really good option, at walking distance to the city center. Staff is great and welcoming, and the place is a great place to start or finish (or both) a trip to Costa Rica. The place has a 'good-hostel-vibe', has an associated parking garage nearby (at a cost) and it is safe and quiet. Rooms are spacious and clean. Just be aware that restrooms are shared - which were not specified when we first made the reservation. "

"The view was astounding, and the host was very helpful with directions and recommendations. Highly recommended, getting there might seem challenging because of the road before getting there but once you get there you will not regret it. Great place "

"Check in is a 3pm and I got there waaay before that but Jorge (the front desk person) had the room ready in like an hour so I can check in. I traveled by myself and this place was enough for me, just what I needed. Affordable and just a few minutes walk from restaurants, park, market and bars. The room had a fridge a microwave, a sink and TV. Only thing it didn’t have was a coffee machine, I drink a lot of coffee but it really wasn’t a big deal, its Costa Rica you find coffee everywhere;) also...

"It was so horrible very small ugly old fashioned and with staircase that I couldn't stay because i have problem with walking and problem with my back. So I had to go and look for a more better place. They said they understand and will return my money paid to them up to dat my money is not embourse to me. And they said the will. And it a lot of maney i paid for 10 days. I wish to get my money."

"Very nice owners and the cabin was super clean and well equipped. The double bed is not very big, but it is comfortable. The entrance is from the main street and is a bit steep, but a 4x4 is not required, we drove the way up with a sedan. During the day, you can hear the trucks drive by on the main road, but at night it is mostly quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was amazing!"

"We showed up and they asked us to leave because they weren't ready for us. We stayed at the hotel up the road for much cheaper and it was plenty nice. "
