"I stayed at Selina/Socialtel San Jose for about a week until the 28th of January 2025 and my Spirit Animal for the stay was a Sloth because I did mostly nothing in the morning, then took a rest in the afternoon. "It was terrible, I told them that my flight was landing around 10pm so they are aware that I was supposed to do my check-in a little bit late. Never had a respond from them and when an arrived, everything was closed. So I had to find another hotel near by to stay the night. "

"Really good place to stay if you want to be right in the middle of the city where the locals are. Even with the hustle and bustle of the area really quite hotel. I stayed in the hostel which is good for 1 or 2 nights. Was also allowed to check in early. Museums are really close to the hotel. As well as el mercado central. "

"Very friendly staff who were super accommodating — they extended checkout time by 90 minutes when I needed to work remotely from a quiet place. The breakfast was nice -- make-your-own eggs and pancakes -- and the common areas were great to hang out in. One word of caution: They didn't have a record of my Expedia reservation when I arrived, so if at all possible, call and confirm they've received it."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is beautiful, they have delicious coffee for the guests and the kitchen space is very functional and well equipped. Fernando is really nice and has lots of helpful tips for activities around the area."

"Came to Turrialba for the Canyons- but fell in love with this place. The deck was incredible, great place for mornings- watching the Tucan, watching the clouds roll by all from a comfy chair. The hot tub was a rare novelty. I spent time in other cities in CR, but this place is incredible. Absolutely will be back!"
