"We really enjoyed staying here. After booking primarily at traditional hotels through Costa Rica during our vacation, we thought it would be cool to try something different. Estrellas is more of a small boutique BnB with amazing views, deep in the Samara hills. Be prepared, I highly advise having a 4x4, we made the mistake of booking a sedan on our trip and deeply regretted it. "I loved the room with the glass wall to a private view of the back yard/hillside. There was a kitchen and a private patio area. Staff was so helpful to navigate our way and to secure a ferry reservation after we left there. Loved the area. Just wasn’t aware how mountainous it is in Costa Rica. Takes getting used to drive up the crazy hills. Great location and food/restaurants was amazing!!! So fresh and good. "

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Recently constructed , like new apartment. Excellent communication with owner. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and the laundry was a bonus. We spent a lot of time in the pool and it is an excellent beach. Monkeys and Scarlet Macaws as well as other wildlife in the community and golf course. Store across the street. Booked a Bioluminescence tour by the restaurant and coffee shop. Thanks to our great hosts!"

The Villa is as shown in pictures (or, better), responsiveness and support from Berenice was great, and attentiveness from Anna and Elder living on the expansive property was exceptional.
