"Staff were helpful and great to talk to, and parking was convenient. Actual hotel is a bit of a walk from town centre, so bear that in mind (there is a bus stop within a 5min walk). On the other hand the area was nice and quiet (although I did stay outside of the academic year). Also this hotel has communal kitchens on each floor where you can cook and store leftovers, but there is no restaurant, although the Halifax Hall nearby does if you need a meal."

"Well presented terrace room with a super view down into the valley. Nice bathroom, particularly the combination rain shower. Fridge insitu. Bed was comfortable enough although was a bit warm under the duvet (even with the terrace door ajar all night) - then again, I do prefer a low tog duvet all year round. Access via car is up narrow, steep, uneven roads, but there is ample/secure parking on site. Check in via keybox - no meet and greet"

"The hotel is lovely but coukd do with a few tweaks here and there. My window wouldnt close, towel rail was hanging on for dear life and nowhere to put shower gel/soap in the shower. Could do with a mini shelf in the shower. My room was next to a little utilities room containing a microwave, washings machine, dryer etc. This wad not great due to a couple deciding to do their washing at midnight. "I stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting a relative in the area. I was warmly welcomed on arrival and building codes were explained. Considering the age of the building the facilities were excellent. It felt safe and secure and I would happily return."
