"The room is spacious. No elevator, it's can be tough to carry heavy luggage up and down. There's only public bath, no private shower. It's a quiet area, most stores and restaurants are closed after 5 pm, and before 9 am. Short distance from buses, but a bit challenging for walking with luggage, and good luck if you can find a taxi in the area. "

"Hakone-Gora is a quiet area near the base of the cable cars taking you up for a My Fuji view. There are a few eateries and bars but not much else, and the eateries close early. As such it is great if you want a relaxing night and the Emblem Flow has great Japanese style rooms and a terrific Onsen, Also looks to be a good base for walking in the area. We loved it after the bustle of Tokyo."

"This particular hotel is for people that are mainly self sufficient I wouldn't suggests it if you cannot mentally operate independent of being accompanied. the local area is amazing I'm a small town kinda guy theirs a brewery if you have the time and walk you'll hit the coast for a really good breeze. The hotel itself Is quiet and staff as well as other guests are nice. But I'd recommend this hotel if your a foreigner that can operate off your own mental agenda with little to no assistance...

"The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Provided what we needed at request. We wish was that in them knowing we had a vehicle, that they were able to direct us to a nearby parking lot with affordable pricing. The signs are confusing at times. We ended up paying ¥3400 the first night for overnight parking and ¥6100 the second night in the nearby lots. Other than that, the room was clean except a little black mold near the AC unit. Deep. cleaning could be better. Happy with our 2 night stay...

"This hotel was very old and could only accomodate 3 people at a time in each gendered onsen. These were enclosed spaces and not open air, but were beautiful. "We had a lovely stay here! The bathroom could've been a little cleaner which is why we gave it 4/5. The half board is absolutely worth it, the food is incredible and you will not be hungry. The staff is very very nice and were helpful with any questions we had. This was the complete experience and we definitely recommend this location for anyone that wants to do the full traditional Japanese experience! The town is small and easily walkable. We visited Choanji, a true hidden gem. Lots of places...
