"This is a basic hotel, no frills. We stayed for 3 nights to be in town after being on Playa Negra for 3 nights. Beds and bathroom are basic but suffice. Hot water is questionable, but honestly a nice cool shower after sweating all fay is fine by me. Breakfast was adequate, check in was smooth. Other reviewers noted the lack of tv (we had room 8, a king bed with balcony) but we didn't even use the tv in the beachfront hotel, so not a big deal to us. Wifi was stable. "We arrived and had to wait 40 minutes before anyone would even check us in because there was no one in the office. When the office person finally arrived, Luciano, he was incredibly rude and dismissive. He finally led us to our room after taking more than enough time to check us in. "The property was a perfect spot for me. I extended my stay twice because of the hospitality and willingness to accommodate me by Scott (the property manager). Everything was perfect and I definitely recommend staying there. I will try to stay again next time I am in Puerto Viejo. Pura Vida!!!"
