"We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Inn! It’s a cozy little hotel with no frills but love that it is dog friendly. Be aware that you must call and request a dog friendly room. We had a little problem with this as we were told by a hotel staff member after making our reservation that we “should have picked the dog friendly room on Expedia” but that was not a choice, and were told we “should have just scheduled directly with the hotel.” However, the manager was able to edit our reservation and we...

"Very nice, comfortable stay with a lovely view of Lake Superior and walking distance to everything in Grand Marais. The self check-in directions were very straightforward as was checkout. It was really nice to have someone send me a text message thanking me for my stay and reminding me of the checkout time and directions. Will absolutely be back!"

"Great location with beautiful views of the lake. We stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms and found it to be cozy, quaint and comfortable- which was perfect in a spring blizzard! The lakeside sauna was perfect for a relaxing evening. "

"We stayed 4 nights at the condo so my husband could ski on Lutsen mountain. Very handy for him to come and go. Small condo but it had everything we needed. The lighting was dim but the condo was warm and quiet. "
