Breakfast was bagels and cereal. Very limited options. No ice machine and spa and sauna were closed. Also our tv didn’t work in our room. Place needs a serious overhaul to be worth what they charge.

You pay for what you get, and I admit I chose this place because it was less expensive, however, in the future I’ll pay more for a nicer place. The rooms are in serious need of an upgrade. Bathtub was in gross condition, carpet frayed and torn. Even my phone charger would fall out of the outlet. Lighting poor, just lamps. The young woman working at the front desk was not very friendly. I won’t be staying here again.

A Lucky Find
Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Room was quiet, clean and affordable, but could use some refurbishing. Grand Marais is a popular destination, so book early.

A place that is a great value.
We had a very comfy room. If you need a place to relax in between activities this place is perfect. Have stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed.

The staff is excellent. Mitchell and Danny both remembered me from my previous stay. I met Louise this time and she is very nice also. They make it feel like old home week. The room is clean and quiet. I will definitely be back.

Even though it's nothing fancy, the room is comfortable, close to a restaurant, on the main street of Grand Marais, and has premade breakfast available the entire day (I grabbed a bagel for lunch because I wasn't too hungry and it was fine). The staff is really friendly and helpful and gave me tons of ideas to go hiking.
