"The property was really close to el zocalo ,mexico city tourist areas, and close to alot of food options. I was able to locate it based on discription on reviews about sketchy alley, it did seem scary and unsafe. There was an uncovered hole in our room that made us wonder what it was, room waĺls thin we could hear everything, and it 100 pesos deposit for remote control to watch TV which wasnt mentioned on the expedia page. But we figured out you can just turn it on by hand. Bed was hard, shower...

"The hotel is very well located, everything you could want is within close walking distance. The neighbourhood is thriving, and there are a lot of good spot for dinner and drinks. The room was much larger than anticipated. The bed was comfortable, and the wifi worked well. Hot water was not an issue, it took a bit first thing in the morning, but not unusual for Mexico. "The kitchen was extremely filthy with roaches. This was definitely not the place to try and get any kind of sleep as they would play weird techno music (not the cool kind of techno) starting very early in the morning, during the week and on weekends. Some of the employees were rude, and they would not talk to you when you would greet them in the morning or at night. Since the place is low budget you do get many interesting characters that stay there, also on a budget so you feel like you have...
