Sadly, we were not aware of the construction going on at the hotel and we had to listen to power tools all morning and all afternoon when we wanted to rest from our travel. Apparently, we were suppose to have been warned but we weren't. Luckily we only stayed one night. Aside from that, the service is good and the room very comfortable.

I recently stayed at Camino Real CDMX and had an overall great experience. The hotel’s ambiance is beautiful, the staff was attentive, and the location is ideal for exploring the city. The food at the on-site restaurants was excellent, and the amenities were well-maintained. My only complaint was the bedding—the sheets felt rough, almost like sandpaper, which took away from the comfort of the stay. I hope they consider upgrading the linens in the future because it would make a significant difference. That aside, I enjoyed my time here and would consider returning if the bedding is improved.

The Camino Real is a great experience for grand Mexican architecture, space, grace, friendly service and a good location in Poland’s, near Chapultepec Forest and the famed museums of anthropology and of modern art. The hotel’s dining options and buffet breakfast are varied and great. But pretty swimming pool was so heavily chlorinated and heated that it caused a skin rash. The rooms are large with lovely views - the garden rooms - but the furniture is old and sometimes dysfunctional (drawers that don’t close, Eames recliner that does not recline), and the carpets old and musty. For the high price tag, the Camino overall needs an update, but it’s a comfortable reliable and spacious stay specially for seniors.
